The Silver Lining by Jennifer Raygoza

The media spread my face nationwide on every newspaper known to man when the story first broke. It read- James King. Son of wealthy, ambitious hotel owner, Victoria King, busted for cocaine possession. Let’s be honest. I’ve always been a rebel, a little rough around the edges. The black sheep of the family. The outcast. No one ever thought twice about me, not even when I was arrested. The only thing is I didn’t really do it, but I served time for the crime.

Today my freedom was granted to me. I was permitted to leave this prison that I had lived in for the last sixteen months. The guards opened my cell, grinned and told me I could finally go back home. Home? See, it wouldn’t be my home. It would be her home. I have no home of my own anymore.

Funny thing about being locked up, is that you lose everything, including yourself. You no longer exist to the outside world. You’re transparent, at least that’s how I felt until I met Emily. She was kind and in my world people like her were far and few between. I was drawn to her like a magnet. I wanted her, but I’d kill myself trying to get her because she’s damaged. I just didn’t know it yet.

#TeamJames All the way!! Silver Lining #YesPlease

James King has a bad boy image, jail time for drug possession, gets out and goes to the place he should call home, but doesn't, it's all for show. He trades one hell (jail) for another (home) with his ambitious and status climbing mother Victoria. Everything is about what is reported and how 'others' view their family...no matter what the cost, or you will face her fury. Image, Status, Vanity and Fame are not what James wants, ultimately he wants things that hold value that can't be bought. Even his brother, the favored child, will be brought into Victorias wrath for being himself.

The game changer...Emily, adorable and fierce...I mean, what woman wouldn't freak out seeing a tattoo'd bad boy show up unannounced and scare the shit outta them...LMAO..but trying to stab him, may have just been the way to his heart. James is in pursuit of this subtle vixen, who is trying to keep her guard up dealing with her own personal and family issues that will cause more drama for both her and James...no matter what the fates have planned, together they will forced to deal the regin of Victoria.

This story is engaging and fast paced...I really loved the dynamics of the characters and the way they evolved into something more complex and entrancing to read. The twists and turns are subtle but profound, changing the course of their lives one chapter at a time. There are moments that the emotional attachement to the characters pull you in and your left gasping in fright, cursing at stupidity, yelling at ignorance, screaming in passion, shivering from lust and crying from cruelty....only to be brought back to jumping for joy and laughing your ass off at the irony!! (sorry if that was a mini spoiler...but you still need to read it to get it!) A #mustread #oneclick from Jennifer Raygoza!! Above all...#TeamJames #tattoobadboy #heartofalion

And if you enjoy this and like paranormal, you MUST check out her Guardian Series!! #hotvamps #biteme #iwantavampdog

Author Jennifer Raygoza

Jennifer Raygoza also known as the rebel of writing, burst through the writing scene in 2012 with a vampire series called, The Guardians. It was a story originally written just for fun, but ended up being self-published out of curiosity. Little did she know the series would be strongly embraced by vampire reader's. Since then this down to earth, California girl has been picked up by Crushing Hearts and Black Butterfly Publishing. She has recently released two short stories and a poetry book that includes work from her youth.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT WHEN YOU READ HER BOOKS?
She break hearts, kills bad guys and gives you characters that make you fall in love. This writer will have you turning pages and thirsting for more.

Jennifer Raygoza lives in Corona, California with her husband and children. She developed a love for writing poetry at the young age of twelve. She did not want to become a writer when she was young.

She had dreams of becoming a Marriage Counselor and majored in Psychology when she was older. Although that dream did not work out she still councils relationship advice to friends and family.

In 2013 she published her first book called The Guardians. Originally it was a story written for fun, and out of curiosity was self published.

Little did she know that it would be a hit with vampire lovers. Fans encouraged her to write part two in the series. She was currently working on another project, but pushed it back to write part two in the series to please the fans. The third and final book in The Guardians series is in the works set to come out 9/2014.

Fun Info: Rumor has it that part one in this series sat around on a desk for five years unfinished, and once it was completed she held back publishing it for fear that no one would like it.
