Oh how I loved this book! I can't truly do a review justice for this book as there is so much to say. I will highlight what I found most intriguing and unique to this story.
Liberty, what a woman! To be so guarded and yet yearning to set flight. Her past has caused her so much pain and lack of trust in men, mostly because he was a sadistic devil. But her strength to pick herself up and work through the pain and heartache. She is a talent scout for up and coming rock-groups. This allows her to remain hidden behind her mask of heavy make up, dark clothes, and her hair, which all act as her shield against the world. Behind closed doors though, she desperately wishes to find the one to fulfill her desires and keep her safe, her Daddy-Dom. This leads her to searching the web, via personal sites, Facebook and such, to find the missing piece. Which leads her to meet Calix!
Calix, HOLY HOTNESS!..I mean if there was ever a sex-on-a-stick, dangerously-handsome, alpha-male, it would have a picture of this long haired sex god. I mean yes, he is a Daddy-Dom, but his overall presence and peaceful strength just shines through the pages. He is an accomplished businessman who knows what he wants and goes after it. Although usually with women, he isn't the one in pursuit, that is until he see her.
Liberty and Calix's relationship is a slow burn, it smolders though text messages online and escalates slowly. As Liberty's ants in her shoes and butterflies in her tummy, keep her running from taking the next steps. Liberty's actions take her between LA, Vegas, and Sarasota, FL (which is awesome), giving the story a life of its own via the venues used to fuse a realistic aspect to the story. The romance is beautiful and something that can't really be expressed here, other than to say....Calix is truly a man after her heart for the long run. But along the way, we see the quirky and adorable side to Liberty which makes you love her all the more! From a 'special convection oven turkey' to her standing dates with the FedEx delivery man...you see just how much she fights to move forward and ultimately will have to make the choice to run or take flight!
A definite must read and look forward to so much more to come from this couple and author!! I received an ARC from the Author for an Honest review....and HONESTLY LOVED THIS BOOK!
