Fan Girl by Brandace Morrow

Little more than a girl when Ali meets him, his voice resonates with her in a time when she needs it most. As an adult, Deklan has the potential to devastate her.
Deklan Thomas catches Ali Pierce's attention at a young age. Not that he notices. His band Rolling Bridges provides Ali the escape she desperately needs from her home life. Music. It's during this journey that she is confronted with what she has attempted to suppress all along. Her discontent with herself.
Refusing to settle for mediocrity, Ali sets off on a mission. Moving to the Big Apple, she gains a new outlook on life, a snarky online friend, a college degree, and a unique internship others would kill to have.
Though she grows leaps and bounds, her first love remains the same. Nothing can keep her from the music—music that will lead her down a road of passion and predicament that even the new Ali is unsure she can handle.
Is Deklan ready to give up his rocker lifestyle? And does Ali really want to be put in the spotlight after so many years in the shadows?

*****5 of 5 Stars!*****
I found this book to be kind of inspiring, very coming of age, and a feel good romance. It was given to me as a gift so I looked forward to reading it.

Alaina aka 'Ali' and Stacie are BFF's and do everything together. Stacie's brother Bobby is an aspiring roadie looking for the next big hit band to ride the rise and tour with. They meet 'Rolling Bridges' doing a back yard gig and...of course there is the lead singer Deklan!! So swoon worthy and hot from the start! Ali doesn't even get noticed, but she does go to all the gigs and video tapes them. Being 15 almost 16 at the time, probably doesn't help much either....

Ali gets noticed by Deklan after a show and lets her know that he's seen her recording them and that she may be their biggest fan. She changes like a butterfly getting her wings, she finds herself and its amazing! The story takes to following Ali and all of her changes, challenges and CONCERTS!! "Concerts are my drug of choice." She never misses a Rolling Bridges concert! It's impossible not to get swept up in her life. From begining to end you just can't stop smiling and cheering for her.

I will admit, I was waiting for a shoe to drop, yes there were twists and turns and drama like every good book. But the depth of the story was, sometimes life has a way of knowing what you need and putting it into your path. This is going to be a book I will go to for a pick-me-up and feel good feelings. It's not all sunshine and roses but their might be a few daisies or several floral tattoos!!

I look forward to more from this author and hope you enjoy reading this novel as much as I did!! It's a great read!! <3
